How to Make It

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the chicken
    Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish in a single layer. A glass or ceramic dish works best to help the sauce caramelize evenly.
  3. Add the sauce ingredients
    Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the chicken. Then pour the soy sauce over everything. No need to mix—the magic happens in the oven.
  4. Bake uncovered
    Cook for about 45–55 minutes. Halfway through, spoon some of the sauce over the chicken to keep it coated and help build that sticky glaze.
  5. Finish and serve
    Once the chicken is deeply browned and the sauce has thickened, remove it from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
