In a heartbreaking incident yesterday evening, a local family was lost in a devastating mudslide that swept across Highway 101. The tragedy has sent shockwaves through our close-knit community.
Mark (42) and Sarah (39) Thompson, along with their two children, Leo (9) and Lily (6), were returning from a weekend camping trip when the hillside unexpectedly gave way under torrential rains. Their vehicle was unfortunately in the direct path of the sudden cascade of mud and debris.
