1/4 Cup.Of all-purpose flour.

1 Tsp.Of ground cinnamon.

1/4 Tsp.Of ground nutmeg.

1/4 Tsp.Of salt.

2 Tbsp.Of lemon juice.

FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE:

1 Cup.Of packed brown sugar.

1/2 Cup.Of unsalted butter.

1/4 Cup.Of milk.

1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.

FOR THE COBBLER TOPPING:

1 Cup.Of all-purpose flour.

1/4 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

1/4 Cup.Of packed brown sugar.

1 Tsp.Of baking powder.

1/2 Tsp.Of ground cinnamon.

1/4 Tsp.Of salt.

1/2 Cup.Of butter (cold and cubed).

1/4 Cup.Of boiling water.

PREPARATION:

Step 1

Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare an ovenproof dish of around the same size as a 9×9-inch baking dish by greasing it and setting it aside.

Step 2

Combine the sliced apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice in a sizable bowl. Coat the apple slices well by tossing everything together. Put the mixture in a separate bowl and let it aside for approximately 10 minutes to let the flavors combine.

Step 3

Over medium heat, melt the butter for the caramel sauce in a medium saucepan. Brown sugar and milk should be added and stirred together until smooth. For 2 minutes, stirring periodically, simmer it over low heat. Put the vanilla essence into the pan once you have taken it off the heat. Do not use the caramel sauce just yet.

Step 4

Carefully toss the apple mixture with the caramel sauce until the apples are evenly covered. Spread the apple caramel mixture equally in a baking dish that has been buttered.

Step 5

Make the topping for the cobbler in a separate bowl. Combo the white sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Butter should be added to the dry ingredients while still cool. To make coarse crumbs, cut the butter into the dough using a pastry cutter or your fingertips.

Step 6

To make the cobbler topping, pour the boiling water over the dry ingredients and whisk until incorporated. Be cautious of over-blending. Sprinkle the cobbler topping evenly over the caramel apple mixture in the baking dish.

Step 7

If you want a golden top and bubbling apple filling, bake the dish for 35-40 minutes in a preheated oven. Take the cobbler out of the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Warm the caramel apple cobbler and serve it on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for added indulgence.
