The $6,500 Black Angus Bull That Had Me Worried

I recently spent $6,500 on a registered Black Angus bull, hoping he’d be the perfect addition to my herd. He was strong, healthy, and looked like he could sire the next generation of prime cattle. But after turning him loose with the herd, I noticed something strange—he wasn’t doing his job.

Instead of showing any interest in the cows, he just roamed around, ate grass, and minded his own business. Days turned into weeks, and my frustration grew. I had invested a lot in this bull, and all he was doing was acting like a glorified lawnmower.

Concerned that I had been ripped off, I called the vet to come check him out. After a thorough examination, the vet scratched his head and said,

“Well, he’s perfectly healthy… but maybe he just needs a little boost. I’ll give him a shot of something special, and let’s see if that helps.”

The next day, I was out in the field and couldn’t believe my eyes. That bull had transformed overnight! He was chasing cows all over the pasture, doing what bulls are meant to do. He was full of energy, and I was finally getting my money’s worth.

Curious, I asked the vet, “What was in that shot?”

The vet chuckled and replied, “Oh, just a little vitamin supplement… and a little something extra.”

Still amazed, I asked, “Will it work on me?”

The vet smirked. “It might, but I wouldn’t recommend chasing cows.”

And that, my friends, is how my expensive but lazy bull finally found his purpose.
