I Made This Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Pasta Once — Now It’s My Family’s Most-Requested Dinner
Every family has that one dish that everyone looks forward to — the one that disappears before you even have time to sit down. For my family, it’s this Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Delight Pasta.
It started as a quick weekday dinner idea — something easy yet comforting — but it turned into a household favorite. Juicy chicken, tender broccoli, and perfectly cooked pasta wrapped in a silky, cheesy cream sauce… it’s pure comfort in a bowl.
Here’s how to make it step by step.
Ingredients
-
2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
-
2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
-
8 oz (225g) pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite)
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter version)
-
½ cup chicken broth
-
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
Step-by-Step Method
Step 1: Cook the Pasta and Broccoli
Boil the pasta in salted water according to package directions.
During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the same pot.
Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken pieces, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and sauté until golden and cooked through — about 6–8 minutes.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
