HOW TO MAKE BROCCOLI, RICE, CHICKEN, AND CHEESE CASSEROLE

This delicious Chicken Broccoli Rice Casserole is the EASIEST dinner you’ll prepare all week and is likely to become a new favorite dish in your household! This dish, which saves time by using rotisserie chicken, is a favorite with both children and adults and is ideal for weeknights when time is of the essence. Don’t forget to offer dinner rolls with the beautiful meal you’ve prepared.

We just so happen to like casseroles in our house, so it’s a good thing that they’re the ideal supper for a weekday. This casserole dish is one of my favorites since it makes supper preparation about as simple as it gets. Guys, I don’t even use a bowl when I make my food. I give it a thorough mixing directly in the baking dish. I’m lazy, what can I say?

Because I’m utilizing largely store-bought goods here, putting up dinner is going to be really quick. You will need rice that has been cooked, but if you have any leftover rice, you may use that instead.

This casserole recipe may easily be prepared in a 9×9 or even an 8×8 baking dish; nevertheless, the cornflake topping is one of the aspects of this meal that we find particularly delicious.

Because we want as much topping as possible, we bake the casserole in a dish that is 9 by 13 inches. It’s wonderful! Before putting the cornflakes in the oven, I sprinkle a small amount of melted butter directly over the top of them, and the result is bliss.

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

2 Cups.Of diced rotisserie chicken or any other cooked chicken.

2 Cups.Of broccoli florets chopped into small-sized pieces

A large can.Of cream of chicken soup.

2 Cups.Of cooked rice.

1 1/2 Cups.Of shredded cheese.

1/2 Cup.Of mayonnaise.

3/4 Cup.Of crushed cornflakes.

2 large spoons.Of melted butter.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Turn the oven on to 350 degrees. Put all of the ingredients into a baking dish that is 9 by 13 and buttered.

2nd Step

Note: Although I use a 9×13 baking dish, you could easily adapt this recipe to fit into an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish. The reason I use the larger size is that we want more area for our cornflakes, which gives them “more crunch!”

3rd Step

In the baking dish itself, mix together all of the ingredients other than the cornflakes and the butter.

4th Step

Sprinkle the cornflakes that have been crushed all over the top of the dish.

5th Step

Spread more melted butter all over the top. Bake the casserole for 30 to 35 minutes, or until it reaches the desired temperature.
